Cathy is a registered Educational and Developmental Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Cathy has 30+ years of experience (1989- ongoing) at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute / Royal Children’s Hospital conducting assessments for children and adolescents with medical conditions which impact learning, academic progress, behaviour, social skills, and mental health.
From 2017-2023, Cathy was employed as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist at SPELD Victoria, a diagnostic centre for specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia).
In addition, she continues to work in private practice (1993 – ongoing), conducting cognitive, learning disability (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and autism assessments for children and adolescents with educational and behavioural concerns.
Cathy is also a Consultant Psychologist providing supervision to psychology students completing post-graduate courses.
Cathy has recently established an assessment practice clinic, Stars Psychology, at Sum of Us Kids Therapy Hub. Stars Psychology is a specialist practice providing assessment services for children/adolescents presenting with intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties, attention difficulties, and behavioural/social challenges.
