Kylie is a child and adult counsellor. She has completed her Graduate Diploma of Mental Health for Teaching Professions, her Graduate Diploma in Counselling and is currently undertaking her Masters of Mental Health Science (Child Psychotherapy Studies).
Kylie’s therapeutic practice has evolved from a career spanning 10 + years of counselling in both educational and wilderness therapy settings. She has worked with adults, adolescents and children dealing with a broad range of life and mental health difficulties.
All problems have a story. Through play, drawing and conversation, Kylie works to respectfully and compassionately support clients to make greater meaning of their difficulties, so they can experience a more integrated sense of self, personal freedom and enhanced relationships. Kylie works primarily from a psychotherapeutic approach, with a strong emphasis of understanding early attachment experiences. She is also equipped to utilise mindfulness, narrative and strength based therapeutic modalities in her practice. Kylie is available to see individuals from 0 to 100 + years, though she has a particular interest working alongside parents, parents with infants and toddlers and children (from 3 years until 12 + years). Kylie’s therapeutic approach is deepened by her personal long-standing practices of Iyengar yoga, meditation and east and west philosophical studies.
Kylie is PACFA accredited. She is available for face-to-face consultations and over Zoom.
