NDIS Speech Pathology Assessments Online

Do you need an urgent NDIS Speech Pathology Review Assessment?

Hi! I’m Becky, Director and Speech Pathologist, here at Sum of Us Kids. I am happy to offer professional, neurodiversity-affirming, online speech pathology assessments to kids all over Australia.

I understand how hard it can be to find speech pathology services in rural and remote areas, and that sometimes  the NDIS do not provide much notice for review appointments!  I can provide you with an in-depth assessment and report with a 2 week turnaround (and sometimes even quicker if super urgent!)

Book an Online NDIS Speech Pathology Assessment Now!

Are you unable to get the help you need for your child because of speech pathology waitlists in your area? I am here to help!  I have over 14 years experience providing speech pathology for kids, and online assessments are the way of the future 🙂

I can provide NDIS review assessments that cover autism, receptive & expressive language, social language, speech sound difficulties and literacy.

I have a deep understanding of the NDIS framework and what they are looking for in terms of functional goals for your child relating to their participation and well-being. I pride myself on producing excellent and accessible reports, to ensure your best chance of getting the funding your child requires.

I have experience in making high-tech AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device requests for children and am able to guide you in this area if required.

As part of your child’s NDIS review assessment, the initial appointment will be with you in order for me to find out more information about your child and what your goals are for them.  You can book this initial parent consultation below, at a time that works for you.  After the initial consultation, I may require an additional session to meet and assess your child online.  I will be able to confirm whether this is required during our initial meeting.

Following these meetings, I will put together a detailed report outlining your child’s current abilities, progress, future speech pathology goals, as well as a detailed NDIS budget request for speech pathology services.

If you’d like to book in, you can do so at the link below. (A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking.)

Online Assessment FAQs

Total Costs:

  • $290.98 Initial Zoom Parent Consultation
  • $387.98 NDIS Speech Pathology Review Report
  • $310.98 Child Zoom Assessment Session (if required)

In your initial parent consultation, Becky will have an in-depth chat with you to find out as much as possible about your child.  This may include formal questionnaires about your child’s language, literacy, social confidence and/or speech development.  Becky will also discuss your child’s progress in these areas over the last 12 months and help you formulate your child’s speech pathology goals to align with the NDIS framework.

Becky will also help you develop a budget request for speech pathology NDIS funding based on your child’s needs.  Becky can also help you put together a request for a high-tech AAC device if this is something that would be of benefit to your child’s communication.

If further in-depth assessment is required to gain a clearer understanding of your child’s speech and language abilities, then an online child assessment session will be required. Depending on the age of the child, this may include online games, chatting with the speech pathologist, and/or more formal speech pathology assessments.

In order to participate in the initial parent consultation via Zoom, you will require a device such as a mobile phone, tablet or computer with access to reliable internet. You will be provided with a link to your appointment, so you won’t need to download any apps or programs.

If a child assessment session is required via Zoom, they will need access to a laptop or desktop computer with reliable internet access. It is not possible to complete the child session on mobile phones or tablets.

If your child already has an NDIS plan and has the available funds in their Capacity Building budget, you are able to use their current NDIS funding for all aspects of their review assessment (including parent consultation, child assessment session and speech pathology report).

If your child does not yet have NDIS funding, you will need to fund the assessment privately.  It may be possible to use private health insurance if speech pathology is covered, but you will need to check with your provider.
